FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: intraocular lens contains an optical part having a front surface and a rear surface, and it is made with the possibility of being implanted to the patient’s eye. Lens power (P) is in a range from 6 to 35 diopters. The front surface has a radius (R1) of a front surface curvature and optical power (P1) of the front surface, while optical surface of the front surface is defined as: . The rear surface has a radius (R2) of a rear surface curvature and optical power (P2) of the rear surface, while optical power of the rear surface is defined as: , where n1 is a refraction indicator of intraocular fluid of the patient’s eye; n2 is a refraction indicator of the optical part. The optical part has a shape coefficient, wherein the shape coefficient (X) is defined as: . Moreover, the shape coefficient (X) is more than zero and corresponds to a curve defining the shape coefficient (X) as a function of optical power (P) of the lens, wherein the curve is monotonously decreasing with an increase in optical power (P) of the lens.

EFFECT: use of this invention will allow for reduction in the frequency of glare appearance in a wide range of optical power.
