FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention concerns medicine, particularly ophthalmology. A soft contact lens (SCL) made of polymer hydrogel is exposed to a medicinal substance solution to evaluate swelling value which is determined by changing the lens diametre in a dynamic mode of photography or video filming with illuminating the lens in the medicinal substance solution with uniformly scattered light from below, and a linear scale under the lens and aligned with its dimensions. Changing the lens diametre, thickness, sorbing volume and medicinal substance saturation time of the soft contact lens are recorded. By real-time computer monitoring with simultaneous synchronous electronic timing and after lens saturation with medicinal substance, video filming includes accelerated analysis of saturation kinetics of the medicinal substance with the lens material.
EFFECT: method allows improving information value in determining changing the parametres of the soft contact lens exposed to the medical product, evaluating lens sorbing kinetics in different saturation time by its antibiotic, and also determining sorption activity in interaction of pair hydrogel - antibiotic, as well as sorption speed and time of various pairs hydrogel - antibiotic.
