FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention concerns ophthalmology. An apparatus comprises a cell with a soft contact lens and a drug solution, and a lens tester which comprises a linear scale aligned with the lens dimensions. The lens is imprinted on a transparent sheet made, e.g. of celluloid, and underlying a cell bottom on a carrier made of uniformly scattering material and illuminated with a lamp underlying the carrier. Over the lens inside of the cell, there is a photo- or video camera electrically connected with an electronic stopwatch and a computer that displays the real-time shot lens and aligned scale images. The lamp, the cell lens and a photo- or video camera objective are mutually coaxial and mounted on a support comprising a protective shield thereover.

EFFECT: invention provides implementation of evaluating the sorption activity of a soft contact lens material with a medical product, reduced time for determining kinetics of lens saturation with an antibiotic and implementation of rapid analysis of various medicinal substances sorption with a lens material, higher information value of aggregated changes in soft contact lens properties when exposed to antibiotics, higher speed of sorption and expansion analysis.
