FIELD: medicine, ophthalmology.
SUBSTANCE: soft contact lens is made of polymeric material 2 - hydroxyethyl methacrylate with 25.5 mg weight of dry lens with water content 38%. The lens is treated with a drug - antibiotic of fluoroquinolones series - levophloxacin with weight 0.035 mg per 1 mg of lens dry polymer at its content in water solution 0.5% and desorption of levophloxacin from the lens - 40-80 minutes. The soft contact lens is put to the keratoderma and the drug discharges to the eye for 40-80 min. The specific binding ratio of levophloxacin with this lens material is equal to 11.42 and sorption of the drug by the lens material is 0.90±0.09 mg. The invention ensures binding of the lens polymeric material with the drug, sorption and desorption of the lens material treated with the selected drug.
EFFECT: increase of infectious eye diseases treatment efficiency.
