FIELD: purification constructions.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to field of water purification by filtering. Claimed is filter and filtering material for portable water purification. Filter contains body having input and output openings, filtering material, which is located inside the body, filtering material being formed by multitude of microporous activated coal particles from approximately 25% to 75% by weight and multitude of mesoporous activated coal filtering particles from approximately 25% to 75% by weight. Preferably some of mesoporous activated coal particles are covered with cation polymer and silver of silver-connecting material.
EFFECT: invention allows to ensure removal of bacteria, viruses, microorganisms and various organic compounds from portable water.
