SUBSTANCE: invention is related to facilities for protection of hydrotechnical structures against ice pressure. Method includes periodical exhaust of gas mixture in portions to lower layers of water area. Gas mixture contains hydrocarbon compounds with oxidant, for instance: methane, propane, acetylene, finely dispersed oil products, together with oxygen or gas that contains it, for instance: air.
EFFECT: invention increases efficiency of ice cover breaking.
