FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building and can be used in aircraft engine production. Proposed method comprises performing service life tests and defining specified life proceeding from the results of above tests. Novelty of proposed method consists in that one more part is operated during intermediate life selected to make smaller than that specified proceeding from absence of low-cycle fatigue fractures in strain concentration zones. Then the part is finished by removing surface layer in aforesaid zones. Now service life tests of finished part are performed to set new specified life for all parts of the same design, that exhausted intermediate life and were subjected to finishing. After removal of surface layer in strain concentration zones, it is possible to strengthen surface layer by generating compressing surface strains, for example in rattling by micro balls.
EFFECT: longer life.
