FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering and can be used for on-line and in situ control over serviceability of electromagnetic devices (ED), particularly of electric generators, motors and transformers at and motors when they are disconnected from power supply circuit. Proposed method consists in connecting to ED winding, in series or in parallel, of the capacitor rated at resonance state with tested winding at voltage or currents resonance. Voltage from standard-frequency AC circuit is fed to electric circuit comprising tested ED winding and capacitor. Phase shift angle between applied voltage and current flowing through ED winding is measured. Phase shift angle magnitude is taken to judge upon ED winding state.
EFFECT: reduced test time and costs, higher reliability, ruling out emergent situations.
