SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a finishing monoblock with optimised reduction ratio for a billet rolling unit. The finishing monoblock with optimised reduction ratio for a billet rolling unit comprises a number of rolling mills set sequentially to form a rolling line and actuated by two mechanical transmissions where conical gear pairs are provided for altering the reduction ratio in the mills of the rolling cylinders rotation speed. The reduction ratio in the mills is altered by the combination of conical gear pairs of the first type and conical gear pairs of the second type; there is a group of four cylindrical gear sets allowing for the use of similar conical gear pairs in the transmission for the four mills.
EFFECT: reduced price of the unit and spare parts and decreased amount of the spare parts.
