FIELD: drive systems of successively arranged stands of continuous rolling mill. SUBSTANCE: apparatus includes two drive shafts and at least one intermediate shaft whose bearing portions are made in such a way that they rotate around mutually parallel axes. It allows to realize driving of successively arranged stands of rolling mill with different selected relations of driving speeds. First and second gearings include mutually engaged driving gear wheels freely rotated in drive shafts and pair of intermediate gear wheels in intermediate shaft. Each intermediate gear wheel engages at least with one driving gear wheel of each reduction gear. Clutches are operated in such a way that to provide selective engagement of driving gear wheels of first and second reduction gears with respective drive shaft. Apparatus allows to realize different arrangement of equipment units, to increase number of possible combinations of gear ratio values and selected relations of drive speeds.
