FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to synthesis of zeolites. The method of producing type Y high-silica zeolite, characterised by high degree of crystallinity, involves ion exchange cycles in an ammonium salt solution with subsequent thermal treatment of the obtained ammonium form. Preferably starting from the second cycle, thermal treatment is carried out in the presence of water vapour. Type Y high-silica zeolite can further be subjected to treatment with mineral or organic acid thereby obtaining H-form, or treatment with a solution of the corresponding metal salt, obtaining the given cationic form of zeolite.
EFFECT: increased crystallinity of zeolite with silica modulus of not less than 12.
