FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: proposed impulse voltage generator can be used for generating high-voltage impulse supplied to radiating impulse antenna. Device includes primary transformer coil representing an electric short circuit of capacities and discharge gaps in-series connected as per Marx scheme. Secondary transformer coil is galvanically connected to load, for example strip line or antenna. Particularly, capacities of primary coil are located as two parallel rows connected at the ends with controlled discharge gap. After controlled discharge gap is actuated, subsequent actuation of the rest discharge gaps is started. At that, propagation of an electromagnetic wave is started along rows of capacities as in two-wire line. That wave induces electromagnetic wave in the coil of secondary winding, which is transferred to load.
EFFECT: decreasing non-linearity of characteristic.
