FIELD: high-voltage pulse engineering; pulse power supply to various electrophysical installations.
SUBSTANCE: proposed generator has a number of stages connected into Marx circuit arrangement. Each stage has one or more capacitors and discharge gap. At least one capacitor of each stage is made in the form of polarized ferroelectric working medium incorporating device for producing mechanical load therein, primarily in the form of explosive material charge. Generator is designed for off-line operation independently of external power supplies.
EFFECT: reduced warm-up period (about a few seconds) required to make generator ready for pulse generation.
