SUBSTANCE: method is suggested for coding/decoding of video images in the form of separate video image by application of parallax compensation, which performs forecasting by application of parallax between video images. Number of parametres as data of parallax, used for parallax compensation, is selected and established for each reference image. Data of established number of parametres are coded, and parallax data are coded in compliance with number of parametres. In process of decoding data are decoded about number of parallax parameters, which are included into coded data and indicate number of parametres used as parallax data for each reference image, and parallax data are decoded in compliance with number of parametres, where parallax data are included into coded data.

EFFECT: control of freedom extent in compensation of parallax according to characteristic of each reference image, increased accuracy of parallax compensation and higher efficiency of coding.
