SUBSTANCE: invention includes first obtaining depth information for an object photographed in a region to be processed, further determining a group of image elements in an already encoded region and assigning it as a group of image elements taken as samples. A view synthesis image is then generated for image elements included in the group of image elements taken as samples, and that region is processed and correction parameters are estimated for correcting lighting and colour mismatches in the group of image elements taken as samples from the view synthesis image and from the decoded image. A predicted image is then generated by correcting the view synthesis image for the processed region using the estimated correction parameters.

EFFECT: efficient encoding of multiview images, in which there is generation of localised lighting and colour mismatch between cameras and reducing the volume of code.
