FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to piston engine liquid cooling systems. Proposed thermal control device comprises casing with channels feeding cooling liquid from engine and withdrawing it to pump via bypass valve and to radiator via radiator channel, and plate valve consisting of fixed and moving disks arranged in aforesaid casing. Every aforesaid disk features cooling liquid passages. Note here that said moving disk is spring-pressed to fixed disk to be driven by drive roller coupled with electric drive to completely or partially align aforesaid passages. The latter represent truncated sectors, arranged radially on disk planes. Note here that fixed disk passages feature angular value α and are regularly spaced on the disk plane. Note also that one passage communicates with bypass channel, remaining passages communicate with radiator channel. Moving disk is one passage smaller compared with fixed disk. One of the passage features angular size 2α, while others have angular size α, where α is the complete working angle of moving disk turn. In the latter case, fixed disk passage communicated with thermal control device bypass channel can interact only with passage with moving disk angular size 2α. Here, in one of extreme positions of moving disk, aforesaid passages are aligned, while the other passages can interact with all passages of moving disk and are aligned in the disk other extreme position.
EFFECT: fast operating and reliable temperature control device.
