FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to piston engine liquid cooling systems. Proposed thermal control device comprises casing with channels feeding cooling liquid from engine and withdrawing it to pump via bypass valve and to radiator via radiator channel, and plate valve consisting of fixed and moving disks arranged in aforesaid casing. Every aforesaid disk features cooling liquid passages. Note here that said moving locking element is spring-pressed to fixed disk to be driven by drive roller coupled with electric drive to completely or partially align aforesaid passages. Fixed disk has n openings representing truncated sectors with angular size α, regularly and radially arranged on fixed disk plane. Note that one opening communicates with bypass channel while others are communicated with radiator channel. Note also that moving locking element represent radially (n-1) asymmetric tabs shaped as sectors that make slit-like openings. Note here that one of aforesaid tabs features angular size 2β, where β is the complete moving locking element turn angle with β>α. Besides one opening of fixed disk communicated with bypass channel and interacting with only 2β tab of moving locking element is communicated with cooling liquid feed channel. The other fixed disk openings communicated with radial channel and interacting with all tabs of fixed locking element are communicated with cooling liquid feed channel at the opposite extreme position of moving locking element.
EFFECT: fast operating and reliable temperature control device.
