FIELD: instrumentation.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to the field of agricultural engineering, specifically to material friction factor investigation techniques. Method for determination of friction factor consists in moving sample over investigated horizontal surface by means of load suspended on thread hitched over tackle which mass exceeds sample mass for 10-20%. In this process time and values of the sample successive displacement in two adjacent segments (the latter exceeds the first for 60-70%) are recorded, and friction factor is determined from formula where M - load mass in kg, m - sample mass in kg, S1 - sample displacements in the first segment in m, S2 - sample displacements in the second segment in m, t1 - time of sample displacement in the first segment in s, t2 - sample displacement in the second segment in s, g - acceleration of gravity in m/s2.
EFFECT: improving accuracy of friction factor determination.
