SIGNAL CODING Russian patent published in 2009 - IPC G10L19/14

Abstract RU 2375764 C2

FIELD: physics; communication.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to signal coding systems (100). A precoder (103) codes a signal and generates a precoded signal. The precoder (103) also generates auxiliary coding data, which are stored in a signal memory device (105) together with the precoded signal. When a given signal is fetched from the signal memory device (105), it is decoded in a decoder (111), and a "water mark" is inserted into the decoded signal to generate a signal with "water marks". The signal with "water marks" is then repeatedly coded in a repeated coding device (117), possibly with a different coding speed. Repeated coding device (117) is designed for repeated coding the signal with "water marks" in accordance with auxiliary coding data. That way, auxiliary coding data can be generated when coding before storage and auxiliary coding data can be used for simplifying repeated coding of the signal with "water marks" during its fetching. Present invention is especially convenient for applications in which precoding is carried out once, while repeated coding is carried out frequently, such as a client/server architecture application for loading music.

EFFECT: efficient repeated coding and reduced delays.
