SUBSTANCE: invention relates to computer engineering for processing audio signals. Technical result is achieved by regenerating a portion of the high frequency band of the audio signal using the filtered audio signal in the low frequency band and high-frequency recovery metadata, wherein regeneration includes spectral transfer if the parameter of the insert mode of the patch has a first value, and regeneration includes harmonic transposition by frequency extension of the phase vocoder, if parameter of paste insert mode has second value; and combining the filtered audio signal in the low frequency band with the regenerated portion of the high frequency band to form a broadband audio signal.

EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of spectral range replication.
