FIELD: instrumentation.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to the field of instrumentation, in particular to low-sensitivity detectors with piezoelectric resonators designed for hydrogen detection. Essence: hydrogen detector with piezoelectric resonator contains piezoelectric element in the form of quartz plate with sensitive layer applied on it. Sensor substance is used as sensor layer. This sensor substance is based on manganite whiskers grown or applied on at least one surface of quartz plate. The detector is provided with power supply unit. Magnetite whiskers may be promoted by catalyst. The detector may be equipped with piezoelectric generator without sensitive layer.
EFFECT: speeding up the response to explosive hydrogen concentrations.
