SHIP ELECTRIC POWER SYSTEM Russian patent published in 2009 - IPC H02J3/00

Abstract RU 2375804 C2

FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to the field of electric engineering. Device contains ship alternating current electric power plant, alternating current electric network, direct current electric network and controlled rectifiers, consumers of alternating current with constant values of voltage and frequency, power transformers. In this system the alternating current electric network is divided into high-voltage alternating current electric network and low-voltage alternating current electric network. Additionally, controlled voltage rectifiers are used as controlled rectifiers. Voltage rectifiers are equipped with input filters of these rectifiers and starting devices of these rectifiers. Also stand-alone voltage inverters are introduced which are equipped with input filters of these inverters and starting devices of these inverters. And constant voltage pulse converters are introduced which are equipped with input filters of these converters and stating devices of these converters. Also direct current busbars comprising direct current network are introduced. Additionally alternating current consumers are introduced which alternating current has frequency and (or) voltage values that differ from frequency and (or) voltage of alternating current electric network, and direct current consumers are introduced which direct current voltage differ from voltage in direct current busbars.

EFFECT: simplification of electric network, reducing total mass of electric lines for both alternating and direct current; lowering of power loss in electric networks; reducing voltage falls at start of engines and electric energy converters; reducing distortion of current and voltage shapes in ship electric power system which distortion occurs when controlled rectifier are working.
