FIELD: mining.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to methods of hydro-classification of discrete materials during processes of their getting, dressing and processing and may be used in mineral resource industry, chemical industry and other branches of industry. Method of hydro-classification of discrete materials consists in their grading in selected range of fineness as per near-mesh grain in successively installed, connected by channels, sections of hydro-classification in downward flows of hydraulic fluid and upward flows of flushing water. Output of thickened product in each section is compensated by volume of flushing water. Upward flow is formed due to difference of hydraulic fluid levels in previous and subsequent sections till hydraulic size of near-mesh grain size of which is determined by mathematical expression.
EFFECT: enhancement of hydro-classification efficiency and reduction of process energy intensity.
