FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention concerns powder metallurgy, particularly it relates to manufacturing of powdery sealing rings for cylinders of diesel engines on the basis of copper. Into powdery copper it is introduced 0.4-0.6 wt % of sulphate zinc and 1.5-3.0 wt % of industrial oil and mixed. Sealing rings are formed at 3.5-4 t/cm2 and are sintered in inert atmosphere at 850-980°C during 1-2 hours.
EFFECT: method provides for upgraded quality of products and increased yield.
