FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for production of rolled wire and rebar. Method includes hot rolling of strip, water cooling in pass-through cooling sections, shaping of bundles and their fan-like array on conveyor belt with bundles cooling in the process of transportation. Increase of level and uniformity of mechanical properties along the length of the round rolled iron is provided at the account of the fact that strip cooling in pass-through cooling sections is carried out to the temperature not below 610°C, and further cooling of bundles in the process of transportation is performed with the rate of 4-21°C/sec to the temperature of 510-590°C by cooling water supply to bundles. Device contains pass-through cooling sections, bundle-shaper, belt conveyor and bundle-collector, which are installed behind the last cage of rolling mill. Increase of cooling uniformity is achieved by the fact that conveyor belt is arranged in the form of net, above which tube collectors are installed with nozzles for cooling water flowing, at that tube collectors are installed with alternation of their position across and along the conveyor belt on its both sides.
EFFECT: increase of level and uniformity of mechanical properties and increase of cooling uniformity.
