FIELD: mining.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to mining engineering, namely to boreholes drilling with or without core taking. Thermo-frictional jackbit contains body structure with cavity in heat-protective part, friction elements weakening surface layer of the solid by heating, and picks cutting this weakened surface. In inner cavity of heat-protective part of jackbit body structure thermal insulator is installed with option to transmit mechanical loadings to working elements together with cavity walls, due to this fact cavity walls are unloaded and done with minimal section, thus reducing heat losses through this section.
EFFECT: enhancement of efficiency of thermo-frictional jackbit operation with friction elements due to heat concentration in area of work face and reduction of heat losses during borehole face cleaning by flushing fluid.
