FIELD: heating systems.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to air cooling and can be used for effective operation in hot and dry climate conditions. Essence of invention consists in the fact that design of heat-mass-exchange cell of air cooling unit includes dry and adjacent wet channels; at that, walls of dry channels are waterproof, and wet channels - moisture-permeable. Height of walls of wet channels is 80…110 of width of wet channel. As base of paperlike sheet of walls of wet channels there used are staple glass fibres.
EFFECT: invention provides high rate of capillary water rise and high water absorption of walls of wet channels, which leads to increase in air cooling efficiency in evaporation cell of the proposed design, and therefore, capacity of the unit as a whole, especially in hot and dry climate conditions.
