FIELD: heating systems.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to air cooling and can be used for effective operation in hot and dry climate conditions. Essence of invention consists in the fact that design of heat-mass-exchange cell of air cooling unit includes dry and adjacent wet channels with dividing gasket; at that, walls of dry channels are waterproof, and wet channels - moisture-permeable. Wall thickness of dividing gasket is equal to 1.25-2.25 of wall thickness of dry channel.
EFFECT: invention provides high heat transfer due to water-yielding capacity in wet channels, decrease of aerodynamic resistance and improving conditions for water evaporation from wet channels walls, which leads to increase in air cooling efficiency in evaporation cell of the proposed design and therefore capacity of the unit as a whole, especially in hot and dry climate conditions.
