METHOD FOR ANALYSIS OF MODEL TREE TRUNK Russian patent published in 2009 - IPC A01G23/00

FIELD: agriculture.

SUBSTANCE: method includes description of selected tree properties values and area of its growth. Marks of northern and southern sides are applied onto trunk, location of root neck is established, distances are measured on trunk from root neck to the first dead knot and the first live branch to the beginning of crown. In zone of crown trunk of model tree is partially cleaned from knots leaving remains with knot bases. Then trunk is marked into sections of aliquant length depending on location of branch and knot bases. Sections of aliquant length are marked at least twice - at first in points of lowest diametres between bases of felled model tree knots, and then by tops of these burrs with measurement of according distances from root neck with assessment of several generatrices on uneven surface of trunk. After marking, using bases of knot remains with measurement of according distances from root neck, number of knots are calculated at one height of trunk. Then angle of remainder adjacency is measured at each knot, and relative to northern side, azimuth of each former branch and knot location in model tree growing before felling. Before trunk cutting into rounds and sections, remains of all knots are removed by cutting with axe or cutting with petrol limbing tool. Data of measurements are exposed in cameral conditions to statistical treatment by height of trunk additionally with assessment of several generatrices on uneven surface of model tree trunk.

EFFECT: method provides for increased complexity of tree trunks analysis with bases of knots and branches using model trees.
