FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ophthalmology and can be applied in surgery of crystalline lens in restoring transparence of eye optical system or in its replacement for artificial optics with refracting purpose. Before operation pupil reactions of patient are rated, determining width of pupil in mesoscopic conditions of lightening. Round "window" in front capsule of crystalline lens is formed with diametre 0.5 mm smaller than diametre of optical part of IOL. Diametre of "window" during opening of back capsule of crystalline lens is determined depending on preservation and evidence of pupil reactions. Method insures prevention of secondary cataract in distant post-operation period.
EFFECT: loss of light energy is reduced due to light-scattering independently on level of lightening or pupil width and high level of image contrast is reached.
