FIELD: ophthalmology.
SUBSTANCE: method of predicting visual acuity at a distance of 40 cm in the long-term period after phacoemulsification with implantation of an intraocular lens with an increased depth of focus implemented due to its posterior surface characterized by the following: Lenstar LS900 optical biometry is performed at the preoperative stage, based on the results of which the sum of the distances of the depth of the anterior chamber and half the thickness of the native lens is calculated, then individually for the patient a prediction of visual acuity at a distance of 40 cm without additional means of correction is made.
EFFECT: prediction of visual acuity based on preoperative optical biometric data.
