FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to compositions of chemical substances which are used in self-contained breathing apparatus working on chemically combined oxygen, specifically to composition of triggering briquettes which generate oxygen. The said composition contains sodium superoxide in amount of 32-38 wt %, potassium superoxide in amount of 12-18 wt %, potassium bisulphate in amount of 37-42 wt %, aluminium in amount of 2.5-3.5 wt %, asbestos in amount of 2.5-3.5 wt % and calcium silicate in form of wollastonite in amount of 4-5.5 wt %. Increase in amount of sodium superoxide in the composition of the briquette with simultaneous decrease in amount of potassium superoxide leads to low toxic effect on the body of the user.
EFFECT: composition generates large amount of oxygen per unit mass of triggering briquette during use and is characterised by better kinetic parametres of the given process.
