SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a method of producing compounds of formula (I) , with ACE inhibitory activity, and to pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof, in which the carboxyl group of an amino acid of formula (II) is activated with a uronium salt of formula (III) in the presence of an aprotonic solvent, and the activated amino acid is reacted with a corresponding amine from the HR₃ family.
