FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to disposal of used automotive tires and wastes of industrial rubber articles. Proposed method consists in thermal treatment of tires in extractors filled with black oil or tar oil, circulating bottom-up, at 260°C to 290°C till complete dissolution of rubber. Note here that rubber dissolution can be accompanied with rotation of processed tires in opposite directions. Friction forces, originating at contact points, facilitate and acceleration dissolution, hence reducing process time.
EFFECT: reduced process time, expanded range of application for obtained rubber-bitumen compositions.
