FIELD: testing equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to the field of testing equipment. Leak detector is displaced in steps, and internal surface of reservoir is scanned. At each step module of moving liquid speed is detected. Limited space in the form of channel for passage of liquid flow through it, which further flows via through defect in reservoir wall, is formed in liquid inside reservoir. Module of moving liquid speed is detected in channel. Several channels are combined into single unit. Block is shaped to match it to shape of researched surface. Leak detector is made of hollow body with scanning and metering holes, to which liquid motion sensor is rigidly fixed. External surface of body has shape coupled to similar bodies, in process of their joining into single unit. Common scanning hole has shape joined to shape of researched surface.
EFFECT: increased sensitivity of defects detection, and also provision of possibility for diagnostics of surfaces of any shape.
