FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to analytical chemistry as applied to several applied geological problems, including geological search for oil and gas. The method involves crushing a bore speciment to particle size of 0.25-0.5 mm, five-fold extraction of hydrocarbon compounds using an extracting agent, analysis of the extract using infrared spectrometry and calculation of content of hydrocarbons in the specimen from the obtained infrared spectrum using a calculation characteristic.
EFFECT: highly accurate and fast analysis.
