FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to analytical chemistry and specifically to gravimetric methods of analysis, and can be used to determine content of extracted organic compounds in samples of bottom deposits. For this purpose batch of bottom deposits are introduced into flask placed in ultrasonic bath and is extracted with methylene chloride for 15 minutes based on 5 ml of methylene chloride at 1 g of sample. Extract is filtered in chemical glass using filter which transmits dispersion medium and detaining dispersed solid phase, and then filtered extract is poured by parts in pretared weighing bottle till constant weight. Content of extracted organic compounds in sample is determined by gravimetric method according to difference of weights of clean and filled-in weighing bottle.

EFFECT: invention enables to determine content of organic compounds in samples of bottom deposits.
