SUBSTANCE: recording medium contains a text subtitle stream. This stream includes a dialogue style segment defining a set of region styles, and dialogue presentation segments, each of which contains one or more dialogue text regions. Each dialogue text region is linked to one of the sets of region styles, and includes a pair inline style and a text string. The inline style is configured to change one of region presentation properties specified by the linked region style for the text string.
EFFECT: design of a recording medium, as well as a device for recording and playing back said medium.
