SUBSTANCE: recording medium, method and device for playing back text subtitle streams are proposed. The recording medium contains a text subtitle stream. The stream contains a dialogue window style segment defining a group of region styles, and a first and a second dialogue window presentation segments. Each dialogue window presentation segment contains a presentation continuity flag. This flag indicates whether continuous presentation of the current presentation segment and the previous presentation segment is required.
EFFECT: possibility of continuous presentation of a sequence of text subtitle regions.
