FIELD: agriculture.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agricultural engineering and is to be utilised for improvement of cabbage harvesting machines lift-and-cut apparatus. The apparatus contains cones, screws and a cutting apparatus. The cones are designed as hollow and rigidly mounted on a "П"-shaped frame pivotally installed one four wheels, two in the front for the cutting apparatus and two behind the cones in a narrowed track. Onto the upper part of the screws coils a -shaped cover plate fabricated of an elastic metal is rigidly attached so that to enable removal. The cutting apparatus consists of two parts: a stationary "П"-shaped countercutting part and a rotary disc blade driven from a hydraulic motor additionally used to provide for driving the screws that are positioned parallel to each other with their ends opposed to the hydraulic motor pivotally fitted into rolling contact bearings in the centres of the cones. The cones proper are inclined at an acute angle. The "П"-shaped frame has a rigid curvilinear strap at the top that is represented by a semi-circle with a radius exceeding the average cabbage head diametre and the ends telescopic; the strap is mounted so that to enable upward motion and adjustment of its lifting height. The countercutting part of the apparatus is rigidly mounted on a vertical axle that is parallel to the vertical axle of the disc blade that becomes inserted in the middle into the "П"-shaped countercutting part to a distance sufficient for the point of contact of the blade and the countercutting part sector is positioned in the middle of the distance between the screw axles. Pivotally mounted behind the "П"-shaped frame are two connective links that are positioned symmetrical relative the longitudinal axis; with the help of the said links the lift-and-cut apparatus may be attached to the section of a cabbage harvesting machine.

EFFECT: improved quality of cut and reduced cabbage head damageability.
