SUBSTANCE: device for manufacturing of an intravaginal tampon for women hygiene includes a press for a tampon having a set of elongated molds placed around the central axis of the press to form a press cavity, and a cylindrical carrier having a diameter less than the set final diameter. Elongated molds of the press include a set of longitudinal penetrating molds, each of which has a slot of the pressing surface located in the direct proximity to its first end, and an end slot located on the edge perpendicular to the pressing surface at the opposite second end, which interacts with corresponding slots in the adjacent penetrating mold.
