FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, particularly to method and device for replacement of rollers. Proposed method of replacing rollers in roll mill stand, for example roughing or finishing stand, comprises resting, in replacement, used working roller one on the other, and, then moved axially, on servicing side, from rolling shop into roll shop. To extend the set of used platform rollers furnished with guide rails on their top side, it is turned upside down at reloading pit upper edge. Note here that aforesaid set is jointed with the help of pushing rod to locomotive and pulled out from the stand on over guide rails. Invention covers also the device to replace rollers.
EFFECT: reduced servicing costs.
