FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: method of steel continuous casting includes steel feeding into swinging ingot-forming equipment, feeding of slag-forming mixture to meniscus of melt, drawing from ingot-forming equipment of uninterruptedly-casted blank at a specific rate. Swinging of ingot-forming equipment is implemented according to equation of complex vibration harmonic with different amplitudes and frequencies, consisting of sum of the first and the second harmonics. Ratios of amplitudes of the second and the first harmonics is defined through coefficient χ, selected from the range 0.1≤χ≤0.25. Sweep rate of ingot-forming equipment is defined according to equation of motion. In equations it is taken into account chemical composition of steel.
EFFECT: there is provided increasing of consumption of slag-forming mixture between incrustation of uninterruptedly-casted blank and walls of ingot-forming equipment up to 40%, reduction of friction between blank incrustation and walls of ingot-forming equipment up to 25%, reduction of production offal.
