FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to process engineering and can be used for producing hollow bodies, preferably fuel tanks, from thermoplastics. Proposed method comprises extrusion of one or several strip-like or hose-like workpieces from plasticised plastic material between open parts of moulding tool that makes a mould. At least, one built-in element to be enveloped by ready product is arranged between parts of moulding tool that is closed around workpieces and built-in element. Workpieces inside cavity surrounded by the tool acquire outward shape of the product. Built-in tool during or after moulding is pressed against inner wall of still plastic article so that hollow body plastic material passes through, at least, one recess or hole in built-in element to flow out from hole edges.
EFFECT: simple and reliable attachment of inserted elements in hollow body.
