FIELD: aerospace engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to aerospace engineering, particularly, to assembly of space rocket nose cone. Rocket nose cone consists of nose fairing, space apparatus coupled with adapter section and space boost unit. Proposed method comprises coupling space boost unit in horizontal position with S/C handling dolly with the help of special integration carts. Then, other integration carts are used to couple nose cone with front face of space boost unit, and nose fairing head is separated from its tail coupled with boost unit. Assembly made up of boost unit and nose fairing tail is transferred from horizontal into vertical position with the help of S/C handling dolly. Space apparatus coupled with adapter section is coupled with boost unit. Assembly made up of space apparatus coupled with adapter section and boost unit with nose fairing tail are moved into horizontal position with the help of S/C handling dolly. Nose fairing head is coupled with nose fairing tail with the help of integration carts. Assembled spacecraft nose cone is detached from S/C handling dolly.
EFFECT: reduced assembly time.
