FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in producing conducting coats, lubricants for moulds, dies and bearings. Powder of flake natural graphite is mixed with 80 to 85%-sulphuric acid at the 1:(1.5 to 2.5) ratio. Then intercalated compounds of graphite with sulphuric acid are produced by electrochemical oxidation of graphite in electrolyser furnished with two rolls-cathodes and housing-anode, accompanied by transfer of electricity in amount of 700 to 750 A h/kg. Along with electrolysis, mechanical grinding of graphite particles, breakage of bonds between carbon atoms and formation of functional groups on graphite surface occur. Then, obtained product is hydrolysed, washed and diluted by ethanol.
EFFECT: process interval not exceeding 16 h, colloid graphite particle size varying from 5 to 30 mcm, fine adhesion.
