FIELD: graphite.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to produce products based on thermally expanded graphite with high thermal stability in air. A method for producing graphite foil involves intercalating graphite with fuming nitric acid to produce intercalated graphite compounds and neutralizing nitric acid to form neutralized intercalated graphite. Dry powder of at least one phosphate selected from the group consisting of ammonium polyphosphate, ammonium dihydrogen phosphate, zinc dihydrogen phosphate, magnesium dihydrogen phosphate and aluminum dihydrogen phosphate is added to the neutralized intercalated graphite. The mass ratio of intercalated graphite to the mass of phosphate is 100:(0.1-10). The resulting mixture of neutralized intercalated graphite and phosphates is heated to obtain thermally expanded graphite, after which the thermally expanded graphite is rolled to obtain graphite foil.
EFFECT: obtaining graphite foil with high antioxidant properties, increasing the environmental safety of production, and reducing the number of process operations.
