FIELD: oil and gas production.

SUBSTANCE: coke removal is performed using hydraulic system consisting of boring bar 2 and cutting tool 1, which directs high pressure water jets to coke base by means of boring nozzles 6. High pressure fluid medium moves through small channels made in collar of shifting device 18. Helical spline 24 moves downwards, and as a result, fluid medium discharge from cutting nozzles 4 is prevented and fluid medium discharge from boring nozzles 6 is provided. After boring process is completed, the system is switched over remotely to cutting mode. For this purpose high pressure fluid medium flow to boring bar 2 is prevented or decreased. Upward-directed force exerted with springs 20, 22, pushes helical spline 24 upwards. Rotation of main housing 10 of flow discharge device 8 blocks the fluid medium moved to boring nozzles 6. Fluid medium is introduced again to cutting tool 1, and it flows through small channels made in collar of shifting device 18. Helical spline 24 moves downwards. This blocks discharge of fluid medium from boring nozzles 6 and provides discharge of fluid medium from cutting nozzles 4.

EFFECT: increasing safety of coke cutting system inside coke drum, its effectiveness and convenience.
