FIELD: testing equipment.

SUBSTANCE: method for fire bench test of solid propellant charge within gas generator for gas charging of rocket steering drive hydraulic system includes installation of charge into gas generator body, installation of pressure sensor via tee joined to flow hole of gas generator. Then gas generator is equipped with facilities of charge ignition, and start-up pulse is sent to ignite charge with further registration of dependence "pressure-time" in gas generator combustion chamber. To flow hole of gas generator, via tee, ballast reservoir-receiver is joined, volume of which corresponds to 2…3 available volumes in system of gas charging for rocket steering drive hydraulic system, and flow block with flow hole, which provides for critical outflow of combustion products. Inlet hole of ballast reservoir-receiver is equipped with throttle orifice. Weight and dimensional characteristics of joined ballast reservoir-receiver are selected provided that losses of energy characteristics of solid propellant combustion products are equivalent to losses when using charge of solid propellant as intended in composition of rocket steering drive. Diametre of throttle orifice hole and actual time of solid propellant charge operation in system of rocket steering drive hydraulic system gas charging is defined using ratios defended by the present invention.

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to increase accuracy of detection of actual time of charge operation in system of rocket hydraulic steering drive.
