FIELD: weapons.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to package for ammunition. Proposed package comprises multi-layer casing made from polymer composite material. Casing face elements are made integral with outer and inner load bearing layers. Outer layer external surface features, on its both edges, paired parallel flats arranged at 90° to each other along circumferential coordinate. Aforesaid flats accommodate thin-wall square frames arranged aligned with the casing lengthwise axis and extending beyond casing face elements in both lengthwise and crosswise directions. Bearing surfaces of multi-layer casing and thin-wall square frames are made from non-inflammable polymer composite.
EFFECT: higher heat and fire resistance, reduced impact load in transportation, loading and unloading.
